To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven
There is no doubt that one of the great privileges of ministry is the opportunity to walk with people in the time of grief and mourning. Nothing will ever prepare you for it, and with the psalmist we lift our eyes to the hills from whence comes our hope.
The church of St Thomas at Cardiff is capable of handling reasonable size groups for a funeral service, and people are welcome and encouraged to have a service in the Church, however we also will happily conduct services graveside/crematorium or Undertakers Chapel.
In the midst of our funeral liturgies we aim to look back and give thanks for all that has been part of the life of the person (short or long), and we aim to look to God for strength, hope, love and the resources we need, and we aim to look forward to the time ahead as we support one another in our grief and come to that day where we can give thanks that for part of our journey through life we live with this person.
